Dr Nigel Jones BDS, DipImpDent RCS. FFGDP(UK), FICD, MSc Implantology, is one of the UK’s most experienced and well-respected leaders in dental implantology. He plans, places and restores 500 implants a year at his Premium Dental Implants practice in Abergavenny, South Wales, where he lives with his wife Sarah and their four children. President of The British Society of Advanced Dentistry, Dr Jones is also Cohort Director for the FGDP (UK) Implant Diploma at the Royal College of Surgeons, London, where he trains and inspires the next generation of dental implantologists.
Decades of experience operating at the highest level
Having graduated from the London Hospital, BDS in 1980, Dr Nigel Jones set up his own dental practice in Abergavenny, South Wales in 1987. In 2001, his love for dental implantology began as he started a year-long certificate on placing dental implants in Manchester. Dr Jones went on to obtain a Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2008 from the Royal College of Surgeons, and a Fellowship in 2014.
Continually striving for excellence
Dr Jones is dedicated to keeping up with the very latest techniques and products and attends several additional training courses every year to ensure that the very highest standards of patient care are met. He is also qualified to provide sedation for patients who find dentistry nerve racking or stressful. Aside from his speaking and lecturing work, Dr Jones runs his private Premium Dental Implant practice, which is solely focused on providing quality dental implant treatment to patients. He works with over 40 referring dentists, hosting several CPD events and training seminars for them throughout the year.
Expertise in treating elite athletes and sports stars
Dr Nigel Jones has treated many elite athletes including Premier League footballers and International rugby stars. He supported, sponsored and treated double Olympic Silver medal winner, Becky James, throughout her career up to her retirement, as well as Wales and British and Irish Lions rugby legend, Graham Price. As part of his referral work, he has also been exclusively used to treat players and staff at former Premier League club Swansea City and leading Welsh rugby region – Ospreys.
